PRIVACY POLICY

How UMI Films collects, uses, and protects your personal data — in compliance with the EU GDPR (Reg. 2016/679) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Data Controller

The data controller is UMI Films, based in Rome, Italy. You can reach us at umi@umifilms.it.

Data We Collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide through the contact form on this website: name, email address, company or project name, and the message you choose to send us. We do not collect data through automated means (no analytics, no tracking cookies, no profiling).

Purpose & Legal Basis

Your data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and to evaluate potential collaborations. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where applicable, the pre-contractual steps you initiate (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Retention

We keep your message and contact details only for as long as needed to respond and follow up on your enquiry, and in any case no longer than 24 months, after which the data is deleted.

Sharing & Recipients

Your data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. It may be processed only by our email and hosting providers strictly to deliver and store your message, and by authorized personnel within UMI Films.

International Transfer

Your data is stored with providers that may operate servers outside the EU. Any such transfer is subject to adequate safeguards as required by Chapter V of the GDPR.

Automated Decision-Making

There is no automated decision-making, profiling, or AI processing of your personal data.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, the right to object to processing, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, write to umi@umifilms.it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
